How to choose your Christmas lights

Start with where the lights will be used, then choose the power source, colour and lighting effect that best suits your display.

   Check where they will be used

   Use indoor lights inside only. For gardens, entrances and exterior displays, choose products specifically rated for outdoor use and check the product’s IP rating.

   Choose the right power source

   Battery-powered lights suit flexible decorative arrangements. Low-voltage and mains-powered sets are useful where a nearby suitable power supply is available.

   Select your colour and effect

   Warm white creates a traditional glow, ice white feels crisp and contemporary, while multicolour and smart lights create a more playful display.
